NASCAR on Saturday....local boy, PJ Pedroncelli, after much vehicular drama (involving a faulty transmission and a wrecked front end), raced and did us proud....he didn't win, but he looked mighty fine out there......here are a a few photos from that particular race and a few general pictures from other parts of the day, as well.....

Here are a few of my pictures we didn't have room for in the paper.....all in all, it was an outstanding festival.....lots of good music and happy people.......we were only allowed to shoot the first two or three songs from each performer.....unfortunately, after that, we were not permitted to shoot anything else from anywhere inside the tent (apparently, at the performers' request, even though from the sidelines I would not have been noticed), so there's only one not-very-good picture of the dancing on Thursday night, and none at all of the audience on any night, which I very much regret......Lyle Lovett wouldn't let us shoot up close.....we had to take our pictures of him from the back of the tent, which is why there's barely anything of him at all.....kinda hard to get anything interesting from a quarter mile away.......shame on you, Lyle, for depriving Sonoma of your lovely visage.......
